Club Record?

There seem to be few members of the club going for the "See how many times I can fall off my bike" record. At first it seemed Mr. Currie had got it in the bag but it has turned into a bit of a battle between himself and Tanis. It was getting close but just when we thought it was safe to make bets we had a third entrant, Darren. I think his one fall should count as more as he was standing still at the time!! Check back for progress on this story.

Well, we have some updates on this record. As Mr. Currie won the title for 2007 and recieved his First Aid Kit prize at the Club Christmas Party, we were hoping he was going to go for it again in 2008. Unfortunatley, Jon 'No Hills' Mills decided to have a crack at it by falling off his bike on 6th January and to make it worse he was going uphill!

Since then Tanis has fallen off. On the 12th January she unclipped her left shoe from the pedal and leaned over to the right (not recommended) and Gareth came off mountain biking a few days later, but more spectacularly came off on the 3rd February by riding into a wall. In all fairness it did jump out right in front of him. Darren also said he "fell off a few times" while mountain biking, which we feel is a bit of a grey area and will have to be investigated. Carlton has now joined the ranks with a spectacular fall caused by Richard Harrison, but Carlton made it look graceful in order to save his bike.  

Andrew has since joined the ranks. Prefering a much bigger audience he decided to pick the first Tour Of Pembrokeshire to try and demolish a wall with his back!!
